About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a pharmaceutical company healthcare location in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, communicating professionally with staff and visitors, and reporting security-related concerns. Officers provide customer service in a people-first environment guided by agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The starting pay is $22.05 per hour, with paid orientation and paid training. The role provides access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and report security-related concerns.
