As an unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol assigned areas at a commercial property, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity, reliability, and teamwork.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Guard card is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
Monitor access points and observe activity at the location, reporting security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Complete accurate activity reports and maintain professional communication with clients, visitors, and team members.
