As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Risk Assessment in Chantilly, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid Virginia DCJS license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical facility emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and staff access in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related concerns.
