As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Support in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and care. You will support access control activities, communicate clearly with staff and travelers, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government location protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access spaces, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, unattended items, hazards, and security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Complete accurate activity reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, airport operations, and emergency responders as directed.
