About The Position

Responsible for providing physical security, protecting our guests, employees and the company assets in the casino, related public, and support areas pursuant to departmental operating procedures.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age/ 21 years for Casino positions.
High school diploma or GED preferred and/or technical school or formal apprenticeship.
Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
Must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Maintain a professional demeanor in high pressure situation.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Requires a State of Florida Pari-Mutuel License.
Requires a Valid State of Florida Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or civilian Security Services a plus
D-Security License a plus but not required.
May require a State of Florida Slot Professional Individual License.

Responsibilities

Maintains and enforces internal security regulations.
Delivers quality service and positive interaction with guests.
Greets guests appropriately and assists with directions.
May provide escorts for cash transfer security.
May drive shuttle or security vehicles to patrol as instructed by Supervisors.
Controls access to designated areas.
Monitors crowd behaviors and actions for security, safety and emergency issues.
Assists Supervisors with information for security incident occurrences reports.
Secures and monitors designated area when assigned to a specific post without fail.
Conducts regular and random patrols around the facilities and property as directed by Supervisors.
Utilizes radios to announce issues, relay information appropriately, and constantly listens for important announcements, questions, and directions.
Attends pre-shift briefing for daily information and instructions from Supervisors.
Receives/provides updated information to/from other Officers when taking over or being relieved from a post.
Takes notes as necessary from witnesses or individuals providing information and passes along to Supervisors/Dispatch/Rescue/Police.
Works with law enforcement during escalated incidents.
Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols.
Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting Supervisor.
