As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You may support hospital operations by monitoring assigned areas and responding professionally to security-related situations. Requirements

  • Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report access-control concerns to site leadership.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
