As a Security Officer Full Time Access Guard in Janesville, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by managing access points, verifying badges, monitoring entry activity, and communicating professionally with employees and visitors. You may use computer or tablet systems to support access control operations and report security-related concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the retail location, verifying authorized entry for employees, vendors, delivery personnel, and other visitors in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, delivery, and access-control records, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, entry points, loading areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
