Security Officer Transitional Shelter
About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Transitional Shelter in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transitional Shelters. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a Shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a residential location.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential common areas, entrances, exits, floors, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or property concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and delivery activity, and maintain awareness of authorized entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
