As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Tour Specialist in Whittier, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor customer and employee activity, access points, and merchandise areas; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and/or emergency responders as needed.
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
