Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a telecommunications and technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services according to established protocols.
Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
