As a Security Officer - Overnight Residential Driving Role in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns, property issues, and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and/or vendor access when required, and help to deter trespassing, loitering, and/or other policy violations within the location.
  • Prepare accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and communicate important updates during shift changes to support ongoing security-related operations.
