As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Duty in Barrington, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including loading areas, trailer yards, dock doors, parking areas, and perimeter routes, as conditions vary by site.
• Monitor the movement of people, vehicles, and/or deliveries entering and leaving the location, and report unusual activity that could help to deter loss or disruption.
• Support shipping and distribution operations by helping to maintain order at entry points, verifying authorized access where required, and documenting daily activities, observations, and/or incidents.
