As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Response in Manassas, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas while documenting daily activities, observations, and/or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
Support emergency response activities and assist with access control, badge verification, and other security-related duties based on site needs and changing conditions.
