As a Security Officer Full Time Package Screening Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or property; monitoring access points; and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally, and provide outstanding customer service while helping to deter incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to drivers, employees, visitors, and other stakeholders while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, vehicles, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with established access-control and screening protocols.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of items entering designated logistics and distribution areas, escalating irregularities according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading zones, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
