About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer in Independence, Kentucky. The position provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, providing the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week while retaining flexibility to scale back. The posted schedule is Wednesday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour. No prior experience is required. The role involves delivering customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location and perimeter.
