As a Airport Security Officer - Unarmed Terminal Patrol in Kailua-Kona, HI, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- 21+ years of age
- Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
- Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and access points while verifying authorized access, directing pedestrian traffic, and assisting with questions in a professional manner.
- Support day-to-day operations by communicating with site contacts and public agency personnel, following post orders, and maintaining awareness of changing conditions across the location.
