As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Field Observation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of banking offices, common areas, parking facilities, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol observations, incidents, access activity, and other security-related events.
