About The Position
To provide a safe and secure atmosphere for patients, visitors and employees. Protect hospital buildings, assets and premises as assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle.
Nice To Haves
- Up to one (1) year of supervised training; pertinent experience desirable.
- Varied in-service participation is required; continuing education is recommended.
- Obtain, within one (1) year, the Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) designation utilizing the International Association of Hospital Security and Safety educational book and testing.
- Preference for protective service, public relations aptitudes, communication skills, safety-conscious, clerical accuracy, observant, investigative, empathetic and understanding, mechanically inclined; able to control emergency, crisis, and stress situations; independent thinking/sound judgment; physically able and proficient in self-defense.
