Requirements

  • Active CA Guard Card
  • Security experience of 1 or more years
  • Intermediate to advanced technology skills
  • Level 1 Certificate (Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force Certificate)
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of awareness of site conditions to identify and mitigate potential safety and security hazards.
  • Conduct routine patrols, inspections, and observations of assigned areas to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Monitor and report unsafe conditions, suspicious activities, security breaches, and operational concerns.
  • Accurately document daily activities, incidents, observations, and investigations through detailed reports and required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, management, clients, emergency responders, and other appropriate personnel regarding incidents, hazards, and operational issues.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, alarms, accidents, medical incidents, and other critical situations in accordance with company policies and site-specific procedures.
  • Utilize fire extinguishers and other emergency response equipment when necessary, authorized, and trained to do so.
  • Assist with incident management, evacuation procedures, and emergency response efforts as required.
  • Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, contractors, and the public.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support site operations and organizational objectives.
