About The Position

The Security Officer Armed Flex Site Patrol serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries and sites in Cincinnati, Ohio. The position offers exposure to diverse work environments and opportunities to build security experience and advance within the company. The role involves 30–40 hours per week, with schedules that vary according to manager-assigned shifts and shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice. The stated pay rate is $19.10 per hour, paid weekly.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling and varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, subject to applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment, depending on state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal meets client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
