As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures by verifying authorization, directing guests, and maintaining required logs or reports.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
