As a Security Officer Full Time - 1st Shift in Amana, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and maintaining accurate access records.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding site policies and security-related activity.
