The Security Officer is critical to Beaver Run Resort's operations. This position will regularly interact with guests and staff and assist them in various capacities. The Security Officer will monitor the property and lock and secure various areas and doors and respond to fire alarms, medical and other emergency situations. This position serves as a liaison between the police and fire departments. Administrative duties include, but are not limited to completing and filing of forms, creating keys, distributing parking permits, etc. Variable schedule. Shift differentiation pay available for night shifts. Guest service backgrounds are welcome, we will train the right individual! Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. Employee housing available on a first-come, first-served basis based on position. This position will be scheduled for the swing shift 3p-1a daily. Position starts at $22.00 - $24/hr + DOE

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Proficient at written and verbal communication in English - required
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, kneel - required
  • Ability to lift and move 40+ lbs - required

Nice To Haves

  • Background in security or other relevant hotel positions - preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest calls including lock outs, disruptions, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety guidelines
  • Respond to alarms, medical calls, and other emergencies
  • Liaise with Fire, Police, and EMS and document any measures taken
  • Monitor the property and lock and secure various areas and doors
  • Complete and file forms, create keys, distribute parking permits, etc.
