About The Position
Security Officers at NewYork-Presbyterian serve and inspire with acts of service and integrity. This role involves being a visible front-line security presence for the Hospital, protecting patients, visitors, employees, and property across medical and academic campuses. Responsibilities include maintaining access control in assigned areas and responding to emergency situations to help maintain a lawful environment for lifesaving care.
Requirements
- Current NYS security guard license
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of starting in role, and continued BCLS certification required every two years.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors degree, at least two years of collegiate coursework in criminal justice or a related field, or previous military experience.
- Prior security experience.
