Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, exhibits, public areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify maintenance or access concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to manage access control, guide guests, and support orderly movement throughout the location during routine operations and special events.
Communicate with site contacts, local responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters, policy questions, and incident updates as needed.
