About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Bedford Park, Illinois. The officer will help safeguard clients, employees, and visitors by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting a welcoming environment. The role calls for clear communication, outstanding customer service, and professional responses to security-related concerns. The position offers a scheduled daytime shift on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.50 per hour. Additional shifts may be viewed and claimed through Allied Universal’s platform. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations according to established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe the movement of employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
- Document incidents, observations, and irregularities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
