Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor assigned areas for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or operational issues, and provide visible support that may help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted activity.
  • Support retail location operations by assisting with opening and closing procedures, directing foot traffic, and maintaining awareness of customer service needs and security-related conditions.
