As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Gastonia, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, observe customer and employee traffic, and support loss prevention and other security-related operations in accordance with site expectations.
Assist with closing and opening activities, crowd management, and/or de-escalation of customer service issues while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
