About The Position

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking a dependable Security Officer to support safe, secure, and compliant operations within our facility. This role focuses on maintaining a secure environment through active monitoring, access control, surveillance systems, and incident response in a fast-paced industrial setting. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Strong communication and observation skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Reliable transportation required due to limited public transportation access
Must meet ITAR and NAID eligibility requirements
Ability to pass background screening, including credit check, and pre-employment drug testing

Nice To Haves

Prior military or law enforcement experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Monitor and operate facility security and surveillance systems
Conduct active patrols and building inspections
Maintain strict access control at facility entry points
Monitor video surveillance and recording systems
Operate security equipment including metal detectors, handheld scanners, and X-ray machines
Respond to alarms including fire and burglar systems
Support visitor access control and escort visitors as required
Communicate using telephone and two way radio systems
Prepare written incident reports and maintain security documentation
Support overall security operations to ensure safe facility access
