About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer to serve and safeguard a cosmetic warehouse in Melville, New York. In this manufacturing and industrial setting, the officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The role includes providing professional customer service, communicating clearly, and responding to security-related concerns. This is a full-time position scheduled from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $23.50 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Possess supervisory experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols in manufacturing, production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or access concerns.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, and vendors according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
