Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, while helping to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor for shoplifting-related activity, loitering, unauthorized access, and/or policy violations, and report observations according to site procedures while helping to support a professional shopping environment.
• Assist with opening and closing activities, crowd flow during busy periods, and customer or employee inquiries, while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions that may affect the location.
