Pay Rate: $23.18 / Hour

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details in accordance with site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe visitor and vendor activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts and/or local responders when needed.
• Support retail and mall operations by assisting with crowd management, directional assistance, and policy awareness during daily activity, busy periods, and special events.
