Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, hallways, waiting areas, and other assigned areas to help to control access, support visitor management practices, and report unusual behavior or conditions.
- Assist with security-related support during medical emergencies, patient assistance situations, and/or facility incidents while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
