About The Position

This is a part-time, onsite position at Colliers' Sacramento, CA location. The role supports the daily security operations of a commercial office building, focusing on creating a safe and welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. It offers an opportunity to build a career in security within commercial real estate, gaining practical experience with various systems and developing customer service and problem-solving skills. The Security Officer will work with security systems such as cameras, access control (C-Cure), fire alarms, intercoms, and radios. Responsibilities include managing after-hours building access, documenting activities and incidents, and responding to situations as they arise.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
A minimum of two years of professional experience in customer service and security environments.
Current California BSIS Guard Card.
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate proficiency in operating the security control room and associated systems.
Continuously monitor emergency communications and life safety equipment.
Maintain clear, accurate documentation of incidents, activities, and after-hours access.
Deliver a professional and positive experience when interacting with tenants, clients, and visitors.
Successfully clear our pre-employment process (background check and drug screening).
Have the physical capability to remain on your feet for extended periods, perform patrols, and lift up to 50 lbs.
