About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Access Control Operations in Tampa, Florida. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Additional shifts may offer opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week, with flexibility to scale back. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The listed shift is Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

The role supports access control at a food and beverage production or distribution location. The officer provides service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers; monitors and documents access; handles delivery and shipment entry and exit procedures; responds to incidents; and conducts patrols. Duties and site conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity.
• Coordinate entry and exit procedures for deliveries and outbound shipments in a food and beverage production or distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
