As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Gate in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting visitor, contractor, and delivery driver activity.
  • Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, loading areas, and restricted access points; communicate access requirements and site procedures professionally.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
