Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access-related procedures and directing visitors to appropriate departments when needed.
  • Support hospital and clinic operations by reporting hazards, assisting with incident response, and following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
