Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access-related procedures and directing visitors to appropriate departments when needed.
Support hospital and clinic operations by reporting hazards, assisting with incident response, and following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
