As a Security Officer Full Time Office Building Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support tenants and visitors with strong customer service and communication while working as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office buildings, lobbies, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or property concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, observe site activity, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Complete assigned reports and logs related to patrol activity, incidents, visitor interactions, and/or site conditions in accordance with Allied Universal standards and property guidelines.
