Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help maintain a welcoming healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with healthcare facility policies.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
