About The Position

United Protective Services is seeking a professional, dependable Security Officer to provide weekend security coverage at a retail shopping center. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with the public while maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants and visitors. The role involves conducting proactive patrols, maintaining a visible presence, observing and reporting, responding to incidents, completing reports, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of professional security experience preferred.
• Active Texas Level II Security License required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work outdoors and operate a golf cart throughout the shift.
• Applicants must reside within approximately 15 miles of ZIP Code 77037.
• Over the age of 25 (Insurance Requirement)

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive golf cart patrols throughout the shopping center.
• Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and enhance customer safety.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond professionally to incidents and emergency situations.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with tenants, visitors, and the public.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and property management.
