Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support access control activities. This role blends visible presence, routine patrols, and customer service to help address security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations, concerns, and/or unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, access points, and perimeter, with attention to shipping, receiving, and other high-traffic operational areas.
  • Assist with access control, credential checks, and documentation processes that help to deter unauthorized entry and support orderly site operations.
