Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Barrington, New Jersey. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide customer service. The role is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at a rate of $17.92 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. A security-related license may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, trailers, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
- Monitor site access, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document entries and exits as required.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, damaged property, unsecured doors or gates, and other security concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, and prepare clear and accurate reports of observations, incidents, and actions taken.
