As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate visitor records. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and control access to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, dock approaches, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and access-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
