As a Security Officer Communications Driver in Carmel, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch professional supporting a critical utilities location, you will monitor incoming information, coordinate responses, maintain clear communications, and support access control and incident-reporting activities. You will help maintain a secure environment through attentive observation, customer-focused service, and teamwork. This driving position with Allied Universal offers the opportunity to bring agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity to an essential operation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least five years of industrial security-related experience or two years of military, law enforcement, EMT, or fire department service.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a utility operations environment.
  • Monitor access control, alarm, and video systems from a dispatch center; document and communicate security-related events to appropriate personnel.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch responses to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter locations, as applicable, to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
