As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, reliable approach, working as part of a team that values agility, innovation, and integrity in all security-related responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, site contacts, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports.
  • Support access control and traffic flow at the location while helping to deter unauthorized activity, remaining professional during interactions with employees, vendors, and/or delivery personnel.
