As a Security Officer you will respond to emergency situations, help to provide safety and security for patients and visitors, patrol service areas including the grounds, and provide alarm monitoring and response. We have a fixed schedule, with our squads working 3 12-hour shifts and 1 half-day each week, giving you the opportunity to have work/life balance. NIGHT SHIFT: Shift A: (Sun-Wed) Sun – Tues 6:30pm-7am, then ½ Wed (6:30 pm – Midnight) DAY SHIFTS: Shift B: (Wed-Sat) ½ Wed - 12 noon-6pm, then Thur - Sat 6 am-6 pm Successful candidates will be physically fit and able to maintain sufficient physical fitness to successfully pass the functional capacity evaluation (FCE), which includes completing 44 steps and 20 squat thrusts in under 2 minutes. POSITION SUMMARY This position patrols the facilities and grounds; assists with the welfare and safety of personnel and patients; investigates critical incidents; assists employees, patients and visitors; interfaces with emergency response agencies; secures doors; monitors parking and traffic control. Performs assigned security duties promptly and accurately. Works varied assignments and shifts.
