Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain entry records, and direct approved personnel, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Support compliance with site access requirements, including applicable personal protective equipment and restricted-area protocols.
