As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Tuscaloosa, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage access control, verify badges and credentials, monitor entry activity, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical processing location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, maintain required access records, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while supporting established emergency and incident response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, noting security-related concerns, equipment issues, and/or unauthorized access attempts.
