As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Services in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, maintenance concerns, or other security-related issues.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor logs, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or critical incidents according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support daily site operations by preparing reports, maintaining accurate activity records, and following client-specific protocols for restricted areas, deliveries, and/or contractor access.
