Security Officer Part Time Armed Deterrence Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting in Memphis, Tennessee. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves providing professional customer service and responding to situations with integrity. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday, 3:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m., and pays $20.50 per hour. Requirements
- Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations; notify appropriate hospital personnel or emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and help manage visitor, patient, and contractor access in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation related to patrol activities, observations, and responses.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
